Artikel zu XPages in Java Aktuell erschienen
rkremer

I was a big fan of Firefox, but…
Tue, May 8th 2012 1:04p   Rolf Kremer
In the last weeks Firefox is a pain. Very often a new version of Firefox is available. After installing, the plugins have to be updated, some plugins does not work after an update. But the most important pain is the slow performance. Firefox needs very much resources of the memory. I hope that Firefox will be improved in the near future, otherwise I will say: I don’t like it and I will switch to Chrome or Opera. [read] Keywords: facebook firefox twitter

If WebSphere is running on Rasberry Pi, why not Domino?
Tue, May 8th 2012 12:43p   Rolf Kremer
Today, I read an article in > Simon Maple’s blog. He is a software developer at IBM and has installed an IBM WebSphere Application Server on > Rasberry Pi, which is an > ARM GNU/Linux box for only $25. It sounds very interesting and since an IBM Domino server has less system requirements it could be running on a Rasberry Pi in the future, too? Since some days the new release of > PAVONE Project Management 10 is available. It is a software to create, plan and monitoring projects. It has an user interface for Lotus Notes clients and web browsers. An essential tool is the grafical applet to create and plan projects, which contains a multi-histogram for cross-project capacity management. Further the Eclipse RCP-based client (PAVONE ProjectBuilder) to define project structure plans. New Phone
Mon, Jun 27th 2011 11:45a   Rolf Kremer
Last week I bought a new telephone since my old telephone was broken. I decided to buy the > Swissvoice ePure phone in white. It has a nice design and the eco mode means that it produces no radiation if the receiver is hang up. It has not so many features as other cordless phones, but I do not need more features. Travel Report: London
Fri, Jun 3rd 2011 2:42p   Rolf Kremer
Last week I was from Thursday, 26th May until Sunday, 29th May in London. Reason for the trip was the UEFA Champions Leaque final match in London. Unfortunately, we got no tickets. We had no luck in the ticket lottery and the tickets on the market were too expensive (up 1.000 pound). But on Thursday evening we were in Fulham and watched the > Women’s final match between Lyon and Potsdam. Lyon was better and has won 2:0. Although the tickets cost only 5 pound, the match was not sold out. [read] Keywords: facebook twitter wiki

Thu, Apr 14th 2011 4:46p   Rolf Kremer
Yesterday, I attend a presentation about the Open Source > Activity BPM platform. A part of it is the Process Engine which has a Java-based API. You can find a > short tutorial about the API on the Activiti website. Of course, other available Process Engine have an API, too. For example > PAVONE Espresso Workflow, which is the core component of > PAVONElive, has a powerful Java API. Why I hate Windows Update
Thu, Apr 14th 2011 4:07p   Rolf Kremer
Everytime you have no time or have to hurry up and shut down your laptop: an automatic > Windows Update will start. Of course, you have no time, but you have to wait until Windows Update is finished. Sometimes it takes a long, long time. Or you sit in a train with a bad UMTS connection and have to restart Windows, since something does not work and then… Windows Update will start… [read] Keywords: facebook laptop twitter wiki

PAVONElive: Tip: View Resource Workloads and Availability
Wed, Mar 30th 2011 3:42p   Rolf Kremer
If you are a project manager you can be interesting to get the workload of your resources. With > PAVONElive you can do this directly in your project plan. Open the project plan of your project and add an histogram for the desired resources of your project. First, the workload for the current project will be shown as column. But you can expand the data to show the workload for all projects. A red column shows you, that the resource is overloaded during the time. If you move the tasks to anoth [read] Keywords: facebook twitter
