Mon, Apr 28th 2008 6:02p Frank Docherty Apologies for the lack of content this

There and back again ...
Tue, Feb 12th 2008 4:34p Frank Docherty Or not, as the case may be.
The Tolkien estate is suing New Line Cinema for damages. Allegedly, New Line haven't paid the Tolkien Estate a penny from the $3bn (or so) profit from the Lord of the Rings movie trilogy. (Shame on them if they haven't!)
The plaintiffs seek more than $150 million in compensatory damages, unspecified punitive damages and a court order giving the Tolkien estate the right to terminate any rights New Line may have to make films based on other works by the author, i [read] Keywords: |

Error:File does not exist -- after migrating a certifier to the CA Process
Fri, Feb 8th 2008 10:12a Frank Docherty It's been my experience in the past
that whenever I've been looking for a particular O or OU certifier ID,
I can never find it. It's either been stored on a network share that I
don't have easy access to, or it's on a PC other than the one that I want
to access. So, one of the many things I like to do as Notes & Domino
admin is to remove the need for physical access to certifier ID files,
and migrate them to the CA Process. It's quick, it's clean, and I
can control who has access to t [read] Keywords: admin

My Album Cover - Updated
Tue, Feb 5th 2008 3:33p Frank Docherty Since everyone else seems to be doing
this, why the heck not. Here's my album cover:-
EDIT: After reading Chris
Linfoot's post, I have decided
pull the image I used for my album cover, after checking the copyright
status of my randomly chosen album artwork. Suffice to say that there were
restrictions on altering the image, (no derivative works), so I will respect
the owners rights and remove the modified album image. My thanks to Mr
Linfoot for helping me re-align my moral compass.

Minimum privileges needed to register a new user
Sun, Feb 3rd 2008 11:12a Frank Docherty I recently had to delegate the creation

I could be freed up to work on other project based activities. In order
to give the helpdesk staff just enough rights to perform this function,
here's what I did.
So as to avoid any confusion, and so
that the same staff could also perform Lotus Notes password recovery at
a later date, I registered a new user id for them called User

Upgrading a Domino Server with a customised Domino Directory Template
Thu, Jan 10th 2008 2:05p Frank Docherty One of the things that I have learned
from my Domino 6.5.4 to Domino 7.0.3 migration project work this week,
is that you need to take care when you are upgrading servers which are
using a customised Domino Directory template. If you don't, you could easily
lose any custom additions to your Domino directory, and potentially corrupt
entries within it (worst case scenario!).
During the recommended sequence of upgrade
steps, you will need to update the design of your Domino Directory to the

Re-adjusting
Thu, Jan 3rd 2008 4:28a Frank Docherty Life is slowly getting back to normal

projects at work, involving a Domino 6.5.4 to 7.0.3 migration (I did press
them to go 8.0.1, but would they listen to me?), a complete user migration

Initially, I wanted to jump in at the
