John C. Dvorak who is a commentator at the PC Magazine’s website, predicts a new market war between Microsoft, Google and IBM regarding word processing in the cloud.
In his article published on the 23. january, he says that IBM is trying to move users from MicrosoftOffice 365 and Google Docs by offering IBM Docs for free. Just as I predicted! Today email became a social collaboration tool, and not just email. The future of email is here today and those of you who still believe that email is email and documents are documents, sorry. You are standing on the platform while the train is leaving! Being a guy who breeds and bleeds yellow and have been working for Lotus for 15 years, I have to admit: It feels like being a small boy who has been left alone at home when the rest of the family goes on holiday. Wow! One of my Norwegian customers has been interviewed on The Lotusphere Podcast!
Kaj Benjaminsen has been working with the yellow stuff for years and years at Orkla Shared Services. The company is owned by one of Norway’s biggest companies with thousands and thousands of Lotus Notes users.
