For those lost in the Storm frenzy

For those who have been sitting on the fence about purchasing Verizon's BlackBerry Storm, I have a word of advice for you. Hold out a little longer. My Storm arrived last Monday and after a day, I posted my thoughts on if it was worth the time or not. Well, after a week I'm still not sure whether or not I should send it back Tuesday when I return to the office or hold out for another week. Well, it showed up in the mail room today, just as Verizon promised me last week. I was fortunate enough to get approval from the higher ups to go ahead and order the BlackBerry Storm so that it would ship first thing Friday morning. Why can Amazon ship the latest Harry Potter book a day or so early so it shows up on the release date, but Verizon has to wait until the release date to ship the device? Probably the biggest fix included with this maintenance release is the fix when rich text is being used: SDR 201970 In BlackBerry Enterprise Server version 4.1 SP6, if a message contains rich content and plaintext, the BlackBerry Enterprise Server might create hung threads. I've been reading today that the much anticipated new BlackBerry model, previously call Thunder, is now officially the BlackBerry Storm 9530. Once again, the Boy Genius Report website is first with big news regarding the iPhone-esq offering from BlackBerry code named Thunder. They are reporting that there will be a HUGE marketing push in September followed by a mid-October release on Verizon.
