A fantastic resource and opportunity
Thursday, August 14th, 2008
If there is one web site that I see many referrers from it has to be Alan Lepofsky's Product Catalog for Notes/Domino, Lotus Notes/Domino Administration Tools, and Application Development Tools pages. These pages are far easier to use than the Partneworld Software Catalog that exists on the IBM site. Additionally, Alan's pages have products that you would never find on the IBM site.

So I have a few questions for you:
  1. Where do you go to find applications and tools for Lotus Notes and Domino?
  2. Do you use the IBM Partner Software Catalog?
  3. If you are a business partner where do you advertise your software?
Also, I would like to pulicly thank Alan for this fantastic resource and would also volunteer to help him update the pages with current information. Maybe we could turn this into a wiki of sorts.

I've either run or been in IBM business partners for the last 13 years. In that time, I've been contacted by IBM people about renewal money, or about certification for the catalog. I dont know who our IBM rep is, and because we dont sell licenses (whole bunch of reasons), IBM really dont give two hoots about us. They charge us money for downloads really.

I've never been contacted by IBM or any customer from ANY entry in the IBM catalog. I mean it. *Ever*.

I've had clickthroughs from Alan's Pages.

What does this tell us?

@Yancy,

Not downloads so much as a simple catalog of products as Alan's site demonstrates.
