Unlike other social networking sites, IBMr is business oriented
- First, it allows you to easily find experts, as identified by other IBMers
- Second, it allows you to highlight your skills and confidently receive feedback from your peers
- Third, it allows you to anonymously recognize your colleagues and their specific skills and attributes
Together these capabilities actually put all this web 2.0 buzz to work
IBMr is a WebAhead development project looking to understand peer feedback and reputation systems.
It's on IBMs internal network off course you can't get in, unless you go work there :-)
Hi Chris! Not to worry, you are not. IBMr has got a very strong dependency on the corporate employee directory, so you don't even have an entry in there. I am just surprised you got the invites from those folks, because everyone in the company knows that's just available internally and the way to get in is through inviting other fellow colleagues via e-mail. I guess folks think you *do* work for IBM and everything, which is why you have got them in the first place, but I can assure you that you don't even have a profile in there. You would need to get authenticated as well with the Intranet credentials. Like I said, still surprised to see you got the invites in the first place ... Weird. Oh, well, nevermind, perhaps in its due time you may be able to see it outside of the firewall :-D
Are you implying that all the disparate parts of IBM do not work in pefect harmony?
shocked. Shocked I say.
Yes this is a blatant theft of the outline that Jess uses on her page, but I asked permission. Why?? Because I am a hardcore admin and can make ugly tables to make you developers frustrated, but this was too nice to pass up.
Yes, I write some of those dreaded admin cert exams you take. I won't say which ones so you don't come looking for me, but I will say they are the real good recent ones that have been coming out.

Non-stop. At my desk, in my car, walking to work and back to my car downtown. In the house there is a crazy zoned set-up for you home automation geeks.
I am a self-proclaimed MP3 fiend, to which I have tried rehab 4 billion times to no avail. Next is the MP3 hard-drive for the car that I found. Now what kind of music you ask? I will never tell.
Get back to you here
Hershey’s Stomach of Holding: Jess and I are fighting over who eats more chocolate.
This will take far more time than I have today. I will start with I was born and still live in St. Louis, MO. Even though for a couple years I was never, ever here and always on the road, this is smack in the middle of the US. Everything is just a few hour flight. That part is nice. No beach/ocean/coast isn't the best. But with the travel I make up for it.

Looking to find me in person? Here is where I will be.
