Hi, have a look at the discussion forum on their home page. It looks really like the product is dying. There are about two posts per month and it seems that even that the product already exists for more then a year there are no signs of a huge success there :-(

Yes Hynek you are correct, maybe this is a last role of the dice but with a bit of exposure what the guys have done might not be wasted

Did Groove kill Notes? Is Sharepoint? So many people have predicted the death of Notes and other products for years.
Does this app have some interesting features? Sure. But what it does not have is a partner community around it and a burning need to implement it. Notes and Sharepoint both solve/solved a need that nothing else did as well at the time.
So nice job by them, love it's on Eclipse, but they have a long way to go before it has any measurable marketshare.

Can this kill any of the above? Unlikely. It just repeats all of the mistakes of Groove 2.0.

Hello All,
Thank you for your comments. Collaber is very much alive. We are actively working on it to make it more stable and add more features.
We don't have big resources for advertising. That explains why we did not get much attention.
Present version of Collaber is much different in architecture compared to Groove.
It is server centric. This enables us to make a web access to all your data.
We have plans to build Web and Mobile access to Collaber. As of now you can have your data in any number of systems. And all of that will be synchronized.
Volker, Can you let us know what are the mistakes that we are repeating? Your feedback is very much valuable for us.

Ian,
I think you are now demonstrating your obvious ignorance and lack of technical credibility across all the technologies you claim could be "killed" by collaber. I know it's hard to be heard above all the noise out there, but you are only contributing to it with ridiculous headlines like that with no assessment...Good luck to collaber... I have no axe to grind with collaber nor yourself personally)...
It's just that typical journo, headline grabbing attempts with little, (actually zero), content from yourself only show you don't really invest the time to do your job professionally.... best of luck...

Well at least it got your attention which is of course the point of a 'headline'.
As a *unpaid non-journo* I take your comment as a compliment - I think the guys at Collaber have an uphill struggle and a least they will have some exposure above the noise. As for the content of the article maybe if you read it again you will see that I make no technical claim on anyones behalf.
As for doing my job professionally I am sure I am as professional as you are - I am sorry you did not like the blog entry.
ps
I do not think and of the products mention need worry about collaber!
