Well, I selected English and Windows Vista Business and I found what I was looking for - IBM Lotus Notes, Designer and Administrator 8.0.1 Clients for Windows XP and Vista English (C19U0EN).
That's a (nearly) half gigabyte download, so I've a few minutes left to wait before I can confirm that it has addressed the earlier issue.
Half a gig! And the IBM Lotus Notes Client 8.0.1 for Windows XP and Vista English (C19U1EN), which I had already downloaded, weighs in at 448 megabytes!
Heck, the server's only 490MB.
Nobody mention Bloated Goats.
I mentioned it once, but I think I got away with it.

so if we evaluate: Eclipse = Notes standard - Notes Basic
then Eclipse = 462 - 183 = 279 MB

well, Eclipse + Composite Apps Editor and plumbing + sidebar plug-ins + Lotus Symphony = 279 MB. I think OpenOffice is an 80+ MB download, so you see what some of that is.

Count the number of files on a Notes 8 Eclipse install. Then compare it to a clean Windows 2003 install
My Notes8 folder contains over 17,000 files
